We cannot print a jpeg logo as is, but we can recreate the provided image as a vector if one is not available.

Vector files are the preferred file type to send to your screen printer. Vector files end in .ai, .eps, .svg, or .pdf. They can be generated in programs like Adobe Illustrator or Canva. These file types are resolution independent, which means the logo or design can be scaled to any size without losing quality, from tiny business cards to large billboards. Vector files are perfect for setting up a logo or design to be printed on a garment, because it ensures a crisp print no matter what size it is. 

If you only have access to raster image file types, like a PNG or JPEG, try and give your screen printer a PNG file. 

PNG files use something called lossless compression, which means it preserves all original image details and never degrades, no matter how many times you save and re-save the file. JPEG, on the other hand, uses lossy compression to maintain a conveniently small file size, but that means it is deleting data every time you re-save the file while editing. You’ll often see these fuzzy or pixelated halos around areas like text in your JPEG photos because of this. 

Not to mention that PNG files support transparent backgrounds, making it the standard preferred image format for logos and icons that need to sit on top of different backgrounds. JPEG images force a solid background, usually white.
